with the Ask a Cybersecurity Expert (ACE) Study Assist Program (ASAP)
The ISC2 Central Gulf Coast Chapter is pleased to partner with ISC2 to help close the cybersecurity workforce gap and bring a more diverse pool of practitioners into the field. For a limited time, ISC2 is offering free CC online self-paced training and exams to one million people. We encourage you to seize this opportunity and sign up to participate. The ISC2 Central Gulf Coast Chapter will host ACE study sessions to help candidates stay on track with learning objectives and provide insight from experienced cybersecurity professionals.
This cohort program is intended to support the (ISC)² CC online virtual self-study with a series of (ISC)² Central Gulf Coast Chapter members leading the Ask a Cybersecurity Expert study sessions. Each session will explore topics aligned with the learning objectives as outlined by the (ISC)² study curriculum. ACE study sessions will be conducted via a Q&A format primarily through online meetings and supplemented with (ISC)² study presentations.

Prerequisites
- Enrolled in the (ISC)² CC Online Training
- Member of (ISC)² Central Gulf Coast Chapter
- Resident of Louisiana or Mississippi
Schedule: Weekly (approx. 1.5hr/ea. session), 6 sessions corresponding to the CC self-study

Participation Expectations and Etiquette
Candidates are expected to complete the (ISC)² CC Self-Study Training modules prior to each ACE session. Discussion will be focused on the topics per each module. The character of this study assist program lends itself to active exchange between participants. Comments and questions will benefit us all. Sharing perceptions and ideas with others is crucial for learning and for understanding. Always be respectful of others’ opinions, even if you disagree with them.

- How do I enroll in the ASAP Cohort?

- How much does this program cost?
o There is no cost to participate in the (ISC)² Central Gulf Coast Chapter study assist program. The (ISC)² CC Online Training and the CC Exam are also free. However, candidates may opt to purchase additional study materials such as the eText book.
o The (ISC)² Annual Membership Fee (AMF) is $50 after passing the exam. However, vouchers may be available from the Center for Cyber Safety and Education as well as support from donations made to the (ISC)² Gulf Coast Chapter. The support provided will be based on the eligible needs of the candidate. The request for support may also include transportation costs to take the exam and/or other needs.
o The (ISC)² Central Gulf Coast Chapter fee for CC candidates is $50/yr. for professional or $25/yr. for students & military.
Candidates may request for support on the form. Information will NOT be shared.
- How do I request support?
o Individuals can submit an optional short paragraph explaining their needs within the application form on (ISC)² Central Gulf Coast Chapter website or contact the Chapter Outreach Chair: outreach@isc2-cgcchapter.org.
- Is this ACE/ASAP required to take the CC exam?
o No: The Study Assist Program is intended to provide candidates with an opportunity to Ask Cybersecurity Experts from the (ISC)² Central Gulf Coast Chapter about content or experiences that are related to the exam studies. Candidates may complete the exam with or without participation in the Chapter facilitated ACE sessions.
The ISC2 Central Gulf Coast is partnering with Academic institutions across Louisiana and southern Mississippi to help enhance student learning experiences, enable network opportunities with cybersecurity practitioners, and engage in cybersecurity skill building activities.
